Nano-coating for de-icing and ice prevention applications

NAPLES, Fla., June 27, 2013 -- Industrial Nanotech, Inc. (OTC-PINK:INTK), an emerging global leader in nanotechnology based energy saving solutions, today announced that the Company’s Nansulate(R) High Heat clear thermal insulation coating has received acceptance for the second phase of a project to prevent icicle build up in tunnels and on structures in Europe. The first phase of the project was completed on a smaller number of locations and is being extended for a 10-month period to an expanded number of site locations in the UK.

“This is an exciting project for us and one which will open up multiple opportunities for de-icing and ice prevention applications for our nanotechnology based coatings,” stated Francesca Crolley, V.P. Business Development, Industrial Nanotech, Inc. “Our coating is being used on areas of tunnels, such as the shaft eyes, for reduction of ice formation. After favorable results from the initial phase, this second phase of the project is being done over more locations to enlarge the size of the sampling. Ice formation in rail tunnels is a safety issue around the world and icicles falling down onto railway tracks have caused several dangerous derailments over the years. We look forward to providing a sustainable solution to this critical safety issue for tunnels, bridges, buildings, and other infrastructure.”
